Engineers need to be problem solvers with plenty of creativity and imagination. There's never been a better time for future engineers to develop these skills — and have a blast doing it — with Sylvan's Engineering courses in Wyoming. Kids love to figure out how toys, gadgets and other devices work, so our sessions are built around real-life mechanical and architectural challenges. Every week, students buddy up with friends to build structures, test them, and rebuild them better, learning vital STEM concepts (science, technology, engineering and math) as part of the process. After all, there's no reason why learning can't be fun and engaging!
The Sylvan Experience
With a maximum student-to-teacher ratio of 6:1 — and no more than 12 students per class — your local Sylvan center in Wyoming is where learning gets personal. We also combine that one-on-one attention with collaborative activities and self-guided tasks, helping kids stay engaged with a mix of proven learning methods.▼
We Make Learning More Hands-On
There's no better way to learn engineering concepts than by applying them to real-life challenges. Using LEGO® and K'NEX®, our students conceive and build new machines and structures every week. And the building part is only the start: students learn how to test their creations, entering them in friendly contests against competing teams and implementing the new design principles they've mastered. In other words, the budding mechanic, engineer or architect in your life will always be fully supported, motivated and engaged at Sylvan — so don't be surprised when your son or daughter can't stop talking about bridges, race cars and other exciting hands-on projects!
