Our Robotics for Kids courses in Virginia are a great way to keep your elementary or middle school-aged child inspired, motivated and engaged outside of the classroom. Your aspiring engineer will have an amazing time tinkering with kid-friendly technology to construct a variety of LEGO® robots. New to robotics? That’s ok! No prior knowledge is needed, and our teachers can modify lessons to suit your child’s ability. All your son or daughter has to bring to class is a little creativity and a big imagination!
Equip Your Child with Vital STEM Skills!
With STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) careers continuing to grow, there’s no time like the present to help your child develop vital 21st century skills. And that’s precisely what our Robotics for Kids programs are designed to do: your son or daughter will build important competencies in areas like computer programming and problem solving while learning how to build and tinker with a variety of LEGO® robots. It’s a super cool way to gain an educational edge!▼
Here's What Makes Our Programs Great
With a maximum of 12 students per session, our Robotics for Kids programs in Virginia provide an effective mix of collaborative projects and personal learning in a comfortable, small group environment. This means your child will receive personal attention while also developing new friendships with other aspiring programmers or engineers. Your child will work with a partner to build a new robot each week, using LEGO® bricks to construct their creations and computer programming software to bring the bots to life. After each session wraps up, your child will fill out a project summary worksheet in order to bolster the STEM concepts learned that week — and to share his or her wonderful achievements with you!
Our hands-on courses include:
- Fun, interactive software that helps kids develop important programming skills — and that brings their robots to life!
- STEM-focused projects that are exciting, engaging and help your child develop 21st century skills
- Regular communication with parents, including weekly recaps, photos and a sneak peek of upcoming projects
- A supportive, small-group setting where imagination, creativity and confidence soar to new heights!
