Our Robotics & Science programs in Oregon are an excellent way to ensure your elementary or middle-school aged son or daughter stays inspired, motivated and engaged outside of school. If you have a budding programmer or engineer who loves to play with technology, he or she will feel right at home using hands-on, kid-friendly software to build and animate cool LEGO® robots. First timer? Not a problem. No experience is necessary, and our teachers are happy to adjust to your child’s ability. All your son or daughter needs to pack is a little bit of imagination and creativity!
Equip Your Child with Vital STEM Skills!
STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) careers are on the rise, which means now is a great time to equip your son or daughter with important 21st century competencies. And that’s exactly what our Robotics & Science courses in Oregon provide: your child will develop skills in key areas including computer programming and problem solving as he or she learns how to construct and animate a number of LEGO® robots with a partner. It’s a fun way to get an educational boost!
Our Integrated Approach
With no more than 12 students per class, our Robotics & Science courses in Oregon offer a unique combination of collaborative activities and self-guided instruction in a small group setting. This means your child will enjoy both personal attention and the camaraderie of working with like-minded students. Your son or daughter will work with a friend to build a new and exciting robot each session, using LEGO® bricks and interactive programming software to make the bots come alive. After each class comes to a close, your child will complete an activity summary worksheet to help reinforce the STEM competencies learned in class — and to show you all the cool new things he or she learned in class!
Our hands-on courses include:
- Hands-on software that helps kids learn fundamental programming skills — and that animates the unique robots they built!
- A STEM curriculum that’s fun, interactive and equips students with essential 21st century abilities
- Ongoing communication with parents, which features a session recap, photos and a preview of what’s in store the following week
- A collaborative, supportive setting where imagination and creativity grow — and where new friendships thrive!
