If your son or daughter is obsessed with building structures and tinkering with gadgets, it's time to learn more about Sylvan's Engineering programs in Okemos. Our interactive courses are a fun — and educational — way to inspire your son or daughter’s creativity while he or she learns a number of important engineering concepts. Pairing up with a buddy, your child will work on a new project each class, including constructing one of the world’s seven bridge types with K’NEX® pieces or building a complex machine with LEGO® bricks. It’s a great way to get familiar with 21st century skills that can be used to succeed in the classroom and beyond!
Developing Critical STEM Skills
Your child will not only have fun building and experimenting with cool creations: he or she will also have the opportunity to master a range of important STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) concepts along the way! There's also plenty of collaboration, hands-on learning and wrap-up activities, enabling your son or daughter to also improve his or her critical thinking and problem solving skills. Enhance your child’s chances of success: register today!▼
Personal Learning and Small Classes
We ensure a maximum class size of 12 students — and a student-to-teacher ratio of no more than 6:1 — which means you can count on Sylvan to provide the personal attention your son or daughter needs to thrive. We’ll also keep you up to date with your child’s progress with regular emails about projects and activities. You’ll get to see your son or daughter’s creations, see which STEM concepts have been explored and learn what the next exciting project will be. It's a nice way to celebrate (and share!) your child’s successes.
