Engineers need to be problem solvers with plenty of creativity and imagination. There's never been a better time for future engineers to develop these skills — and have a blast doing it — with Sylvan's Engineering courses in Louisiana. We know how kids dismantle toys, gadgets and other devices (and put them back together… hopefully!), so we design our sessions to explore real-world architectural and mechanical challenges. Every week, students buddy up with friends to build structures, test them, and rebuild them better, learning vital STEM concepts (science, technology, engineering and math) as part of the process. And it doesn't end with the building: students discover how to test their creations, redesign them using the principles they've learned, and take part in friendly competitions with classmates' constructions. In other words, the future mechanic, architect or engineer in your life is sure to be engaged and excited at Sylvan — just don't be surprised if dinner conversation is dominated by bridges, race cars and other hands-on projects!
