Engineers need strong technical abilities and know-how, as well as creative problem-solving skills and plenty of imagination. With Sylvan's Engineering courses in Alabama, there's never been a better time for budding engineers to enhance these skills — and have a blast doing it! We know how kids dismantle toys, gadgets and other devices (and put them back together… hopefully!), so we design our sessions to explore real-world architectural and mechanical challenges. Your child will team up with a buddy to build, test and optimize various objects and structures every week, mastering critical 21st century STEM concepts (science, technology, engineering and math) along the way. And the building part is only the start: students learn how to test their creations, entering them in friendly contests against competing teams and implementing the new design principles they've mastered.
