There’s nothing more fun and exciting than Sylvan’s Robotics for Kids courses in Dartmouth! Your child will not only have a great time building and animating an original LEGO® robot each week — he or she will also develop important science and engineering skills along the way. These programs are tailored to ensure kids stay motivated, interested and challenged beyond the classroom. In addition, they empower budding programmers or engineers to get a head start on critical 21st century skills that are becoming increasingly important for career success.

Enrich Your Child’s Skill Set

It's important for kids to develop 21st century skill sets as career opportunities in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) continue to grow. You can feel good knowing our Robotics for Kids programs in Dartmouth have been developed to do just that: to help your son or daughter master important skills like computer programming and problem solving, all without skimping on fun (no boring drills here!). Working collaboratively with a partner, your child will use cool, intuitive software to develop and animate a number of different robots, learning real-world STEM concepts and taking confidence to new heights.

Parents are Involved Too!

Kids of all backgrounds have an amazing time in our Robotics for Kids courses: no experience necessary! Parents value our programs as well because we always keep them in the loop. This means providing you with weekly communications that contain student progress reports, a recap of the robotics and STEM skills that were taught in class and a look at next week’s project. There are also wrap-up tasks and reinforcement tools for each session, helping kids consolidate the skills learned in class — and share amazing accomplishments with friends and family!

Our Robotics Courses Come Complete With:

  • Personal attention in a small group setting (no more than 12 students per class)
  • Fun, hands-on activities that transform education into an unforgettable experience
  • The camaraderie of working with a partner to build and animate a new LEGO® robot each week
  • Kid-friendly software that’s easy to learn and fun to use!
  • STEM-focused learning that’s designed to equip students with a valuable skill set
  • Regular communication, so parents are kept up-to-speed throughout the course
